client, age 54, who was convicted of breaking and entering a building in the nighttime pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws c. 266, § 16. , a felony in 1973 at age 17. Attorney Dwyer filed a motion for new trial which was allowed by the court after a hearing. The Commonwealth dismissed the case against the defendant. The defendant now has a clean record. The 1973 conviction was preventing the client from renewing his license to carry a firearm.
